"Al-Zour southern power plant may be closed soon as the plant is currently suffering from an oil leak. The leak started Thursday and has been detected by the Environmental Protection Authority. The plant was notified about the leak after an oil slick resulting from the leak floated on sea water and reached the boundaries of a nearby oil company. The nearby oil company, in turn, refused to deal with the problem on the grounds that it was the power plant's responsibility to do so."
